Ice hockey in Val Gardena
Whoever knows about Ice hockey also knows about the Val
Gardena Hockey Club because this valley team is one of Italy’s
best in years. This hockey club was founded in Ortisei in the year
1927 and belonged to one of the first hockey organizations in Italy.
Over 40 years they used natural ice until 1967 when an artificial
stadium was built near the forest in Überwasser that had a
visitor capacity of 4500.

In
the skating hall “Pranives” in Selva Gardena one can
ice skate as well as play ice hockey. Whoever still stands on wobbly
legs can take ice skating lessons. The hall is open at night as
well so one can show off ones skills at disco dancing. Skate rental
is available.
