By car:
Val Gardena is easiest accessable with the Brennerautobahn (A22).
From the north accross Innsbruck-Brenner-Klausen, from the south
over Verona-Bozen-Klausen. The best exit from the freeway is called
Klausen/Val Gardena. From there one can reach after 20 minutes Ortisei
and a few kilometers further S. Cristina and Selva Gardena. Once
past Selva Gardena, you arrive at the well-known Dolomite pass.
Even without a car one is able to travel easily throughout Val Gardena.
Lifts go directly from town to town and Val Gardena has a very funtional
bus system. That leaves onother option open; viewing Val Gardena
by bus.
By train:
From Germany or Austria there are great IC and EC train routes.
They lead over Munich, Innsbruck, Brenner all the way to Brixen
and Bozen. Several trains stop in Klausen as well. Once in Brixen
or Bozen a specific bus comes regularly and can take you easily
to Val Gardena. Several hotels also offer transportation services
which bring you directly to the hotel.
